How soon can I wash my face after my appointment?
The suggested time frame is 48 hours. For a client with sensitivities, it is suggested to wash within the first 12 hours of application.

How do I dry my lashes?
After cleansing your eyelashes, brush your extensions with a clean mascara wand and use a lint-free cloth to gently apply pressure to the top of your extensions while keeping your eyes closed. Avoid q-tips!

Is the product FDA approved?
Currently, the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free. Clients consider the process relaxing and some even sleep through their appointment.

How long will my appointment take?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes about two hours for a full set of lashes and 45-75 minutes for a refill depending on how many weeks your refill is. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed while relaxing music is played in the background. During application, your lower lashes will be covered with gel pads and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.

How do I prepare for my appointment?
Remove any eye makeup with oil free makeup remover prior to your appointment as well as any leftover mascara. Right before the appointment it is best to cleanse your lashes with a mild cleanser to remove any leftover oils. Oil breaks down glue! Please make sure your lashes are clean prior to your appointment.

Can I get my lashes removed?
I do offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short thirty-minute appointment in which I apply a gel remover. The gel remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching the skin and allowed to sit for 5 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes.

Can I get extensions if I only have a few natural lashes?
I apply lash extensions to your natural lashes. I do not glue the extensions directly to your skin. Therefore the amount of lashes you have naturally will directly effect how full your extension will look. For those clients with little natural lashes, I can apply hybrid lashes (classic and volume) for a thicker lash line.

How long will a set of Eyelash Extensions last?
When applied professionally and with professional high end products, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks. Your first set of extensions should last up to 4 weeks.

What kind of products do you use?
Here at Lashes by Rochelle Marie I use premium, high end products. Alluring Adhesive, Bella Lash Primer, and a variety of high end lashes in styles of silk and matte. You can choose the length you'd like, I carry extension lengths from 8 to 16mm. The sweet spot for most is 9-12. You may also choose the type of curl you'd like, C or D curl. C curl giving a more natural longer look, D curl giving a more dramatic curlier look.

Are lash extensions safe?
I use professional grade adhesive which never comes in contact with your skin. Synthetic eyelashes adhere about 1mm away from your skin. The only way Extensions could damage your natural lashes is if you pick or pull at them or if you don't follow the lash aftercare provided at your appointment. It is very important to clean your lash extensions regularly to avoid possible infections or irritation. The cleaner your lashes are, the longer your extensions will last.

How do I choose the look I want?
Eyelash extensions are available in a number of lengths and styles. I normally consult with you first to see what type of style you are interested in. I also determine what your lashes can hold in regards to size. Each person’s lashes will vary in strength and length. I take this into consideration when creating a look for you. The overall look of the lashes can range from natural to dramatic and voluminous!

What are the benefits of Mink lash extensions?
People want all different kinds of looks, some people go for drama, and some opt for something more natural. The benefits of mink lash extensions are that they are more feathery looking and lighter in general, so they put less pressure on your lashes. Mink lashes also come at a higher cost. I offer premium product that lasts longer and is overall better and healthier for your natural lashes.

Since each lash extension is attached to a single eyelash, they will fall out naturally along with the natural growth cycle of your natural lashes. Which is why refills are recommended every 2-4 weeks.
